Yvonne E. Courson

A memorial service celebrating the life of Yvonne E. Courson, 83, of Heath, will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service with Minister Donald McNerney officiating.  Burial inurnment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Yvonne was born in Perry County, Ohio on May 3, 1935 to the late Albert Gyure and Doris (Blitzoff) Kincaid.  She passed away on September 18, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. Yvonne grew up and attended Newark City Schools after moving here as a young child.  Prior to retirement, she was a supervisor with Holiday Inn for many years.  She was a member of the Newark Eagles Lodge, enjoyed dancing, was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Reds fan.  She was an animal lover and also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Yvonne was an avid bowler and she won several awards for high scoring and she was a member of the 1st place 1965 Stout Engineers bowling team.  She was a devoted Christian due to health issues, depending on TBN for church services.  Her favorite Pastor was Joel Olsteen.  She loved talking to new people and was grateful for those who visited and brought their children, grandchildren or dogs along to visit.  She loved dogs so much and was known to have treats on hand for the neighbor’s dogs that she would give to them over the fences. Survivors include her loving son, Rodney Courson; and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Doris Kincaid and Albert Gyure; and ex-husband, William Ault. Family would like to thank Siblings Home Health staff for their care of Yvonne these last few years and special neighbor Neil Wolfe for all the years of helping the Courson family. With Yvonne being an avid sports fan, the family has asked that all attendees wear their favorite sports team clothing.
