Walter Dana White

Aug 14, 1933 — Aug 23, 2026

Walter Dana White, 93, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Newark, Ohio. He was born on August 14, 1933, in the river town of Pomeroy in southern Ohio, to the late Hattie and William White.

Walter was known for his milk route while in high school. He married his late wife, Imogene Barnett, and together they built a life and raised two children, Mark (deceased) and Debra White. Though they spent many cherished years living in Ohio, the family also relocated to Arizona for 11 years. During this time, Walter served in the Air National Guard at Sky Harbor, where he was a member of the Arizona Governor's Goldwater Color Guard, traveling to various destinations.

A man of hands-on creativity and classic appreciation, Walter loved antiques, car collectibles and car shows. He had a passion for woodworking and restoration of furniture and restoring log cabins dating back to the 1830's.

Per the wishes of Walter, there will be no services. Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to care for Walter and his family.
