Viola Ann Owens, age 95, of Johnstown, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Johnstown Pointe.

Viola was born March 24, 1931 in Vienna, Virginia to the late James Harvey and Emma Catherine (Barton) Harris.

An LPN, Viola was employed with Allencrest Nursing Home and also did private duty nursing. Viola loved to bake, always had a crossword book around, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially at the Harris Family reunions.

She is survived by four children, Greg Brannon of Yuma, Arizona, Cindy (Dave) Fish of Kingston, New Hampshire, Eric Brannon of Etna, and Mike Brannon of Marengo; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Harris of Frazeysburg; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Owens, in 2008; and by ten siblings.

Private entombment took place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Columbus.
