Tyson Lee Sparks

Tyson Lee Sparks, age 51, of Newark, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on March 15, 1974 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Russ and Betty (Hesson) Sparks.

In addition to spending time with family during his lifetime, Tyson enjoyed vacationing on the beach, photography, riding his motorcycle, bicycle rides, dirt track racing, working on cars, and discussing history. He was a former Lieutenant with Mary Ann Township Fire Department where he was a firefighter and paramedic. He was also formerly employed with Anomatic for many years.

Survivors include his son, Trenton (Santana) Sparks and daughter, Tabitha Sparks; brother, Russell (Rebecca) Sparks; sister, Doreen (Howard) Castle; girlfriend of many years, Jessica Miller; grandchildren, Benjamin, Lydia, Keegan, and Jasper Sparks, and Tristian, Aleczander, and Paislee Green; nephews, Ryan (Jordan) Sparks, Reece (Hunter) Sparks-Martin, Rylee Sparks, and James Perkins; great-niece, Serenity Sparks. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter (Myrtle) Sparks and Mary (Oscar) Woods; maternal grandparents, William Thomas Hesson and Mary (Frank) Ferron.

Tyson will be forever missed and always loved.

The family plans to hold a memorial in late spring of 2026.
