It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tyler A. Geiger, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. Tyler left us unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025. Born in Columbus, Ohio, on March 5th, 1992, Tyler brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Tyler was a dedicated and valued member of the Axium Packaging, Inc. family in New Albany, Ohio, where he served as a Line Lead. His commitment and hard work were an inspiration to his colleagues and will be greatly missed.
A 2011 graduate of Watkins Memorial High School, Tyler's passion for life was infectious. He enjoyed fishing, playing baseball, listening to music, playing cornhole, darts, skateboarding, and boating. A fervent Ohio State Buckeye football fan, Tyler found joy in cheering on his team. As a child, he delighted in collecting Hot Wheels cars, a hobby that reflected his spirited and vibrant personality.
Tyler cherished spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving mother, Cheryl A. (Robin) Samsal, and father, Gary A. Geiger. His children, Kayden Geiger and Paisley Geiger, were the lights of his life. His sister, Ashley R. (Tony) Gray, and maternal grandparents, Fred and Connie Hambel, shared a close bond with him. His paternal grandfather, William Geiger, step-siblings, Allen Samsal and Kelly (Stephen) Fattorusso, nephews, Jensen and Knox Gray, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, will forever cherish his memory. Tyler is also remembered by his former companion and mother of his children, Kortney Podolski.
Tyler was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Joann Geiger, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Tyler's life will be held at Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, Ohio, on Friday, September 5th, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. All who knew and loved Tyler are invited to attend and share in the remembrance of his life.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kirkersville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. May Tyler's spirit find peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who were privileged to know him.
