Twila Evelyn Williams

Twila Evelyn Williams, 91, of Newark, died Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Hearth Brook Assisted Living. She was born April 22, 1931, in Licking County to the late Clyde and Audrey (Ashcraft) Wright. Twila retired as Railway Clerk from B&O Railroad. She was a member of the singing group, Sweet Adline. She was an avid reader, and she was known to get to her desired destinations quickly thanks to her lead foot. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and they visited all 50 states including Mexico and Canada. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Richard Williams; daughter, Paige (Mike) McMahon; son, Kim (Victoria) Williams; grandchildren, Jeremy Zahrndt and Chris (Christina) McMahon; great grandchildren, Drew, Dylan, and Zach Airas, and Kingston McMahon; sister, Jean Smitty; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Wright. Memorial contributions may be made in Twila’s memory to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd.
