Travis A. Mirra, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025, in Newark, OH, at the age of 84. Born on Wednesday, July 2, 1941, in Philadelphia, PA, Travis led a life full of passion, dedication, and service. 

A respected and cherished member of the Newark community, Travis, and his late wife, Sharon, were the proud owner and operator of The Humidor, a well-loved establishment in Newark, Ohio. For over 25 years, Travis shared his passion for cigars with his customers, expertly educating them about fine cigars from around the globe. Before his entrepreneurial venture, Travis devoted 25 years of his career to Owens-Corning Fiberglas, retiring with respect and admiration from his colleagues. 

Travis was also committed to philanthropy and actively supported Southeast Guide Dogs, contributing his time and resources to a cause dear to his heart. An avid outdoorsman, Travis cherished his moments fishing on Lake Erie, riding his motorcycle across scenic routes, and playing rounds of golf with dear friends. His enthusiasm for life extended to the financial realm, where he was a passionate and savvy investor in the stock market. 

Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen Mirra, his beloved wife, Sharon Mirra, his brother, Ed Mirra, brother-in-law, Bob Wallace, and sister-in-law, Kay Braniger. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, carried on by his son, Travis "Scott" (Lori) Mirra, daughter, Shannon A. (Mark) Horton, step-son, Greg (Heather) McCarthy, and his dear grandchildren, Casey, Candice, Skylar, Cole, Grant, Evan, Blake and several nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by his great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Briele. Travis is also survived by mother-in-law Jeanette, father-in-law Bill his sisters-in-law, Anita, Karen, Vicki, Linda and Robyn, brothers-in-law, Mark, Alan, Bill, Gid and a host of cherished friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in honor of Travis at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, Newark, on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at the funeral home, prior to the service, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, the Mirra family kindly requests donations be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, an organization that provided care and comfort. 

Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, Newark, is honored to care for Travis and his family during this time. His absence will be deeply felt, but his memory and legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
