Today, we honor and remember someone who meant so much to all of us—a person who found joy not in material things, but in the simple, meaningful moments of life.
Tom loved being out on the water, whether fishing in the quiet of the night or boating beneath the open sky. Those were the moments where he felt most at peace, surrounded by nature and doing what he loved. But more than anything, he cherished spending time with his friends and family. It didn’t matter what he was doing—if he was with the people he loved, he was happy. He had a way of making others feel welcome, included, and appreciated. Tom brought laughter, warmth, and comfort to every gathering. He was a hardworking man who spent many years on Carl Keller’s farm, where he became more than just a worker—he was family.
Tom leaves behind countless memories of shared stories, peaceful days by the water, and time spent together that now feels more precious than ever. Though we wish we had more time, we are grateful for the moments we were given. His life was a reminder to slow down, enjoy the little things, and hold tight to the people who matter most. Tom may be gone from our sight, but he will never be gone from our hearts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Perkins, and his children: Thomas (Meme) Perkins, Chelsea (Nick) Schweizer, Ashley (Evan) Stumbo, Shawna Perkins, Juanita Paulson, Georgeana Doneff and pet children Mittens and Pepper.
