Theresa V. Cost, age 88, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). She was born May 17, 1938 in Hanover, Ohio to the late Vernon C. Wright and the late D. Grace (Camp) Wright Breese.

Over the years, Theresa was employed with LICCO, at the Newark Air Force Base, and with H.L. Art Jewelers. She enjoyed reading, seeing historical places, and loved to crochet, knit, and sew. She loved children and many called her “Mom”. She was known to be a person who showed kindness to everyone, was a great listener, and loved helping people. She loved to laugh and was the first one in the room to make everyone laugh.

She is survived by two sons, Nicholas Cost and Andrew (Danya) Cost, all of Newark; granddaughter, Carmen Theresa Cost; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Brooke and Shirley Coakley.
