Teresa L. "Tracy" Rhodes, a beloved resident of Newark, Ohio, went to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on Wednesday, August 10, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio, Tracy devoted her life to her family and community, touching countless lives with her kindness and compassion.
Tracy's life will be celebrated with a funeral service at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home in Newark on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Smith Chapel Cemetery.
Tracy is survived by her devoted and loving husband of nearly 42 years, Brian "B.R." Rhodes, whom she married on May 29, 1984. Her legacy of love continues through her cherished grandson, Aaron "Bubby" Rhodes; her son and daughter-in-law, Justin (Aaron's father) and Jess Rhodes, and Jess's children, Ryder and Camilla. She is also survived by her father, Herschel Haines, brother, Bill (Tonia) Jackson, as well as Aaron's mother and stepfather, Trin and Mark Niskanen, and her children, Rylie and Dalin. Tracy leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Tracy is preceded in death by her mother, Judie Haines, and sister, Lisa Faye Jackson.
In life, Tracy found joy in her role as a homemaker, creating a warm and loving environment for her family. Her love for animals, passion for gardening, and adventures traveling to Indiana with her husband and grandson were among her greatest joys. Tracy remained a devoted fan at her grandson Aaron's sporting events and performances, always his biggest supporter.
Her community remembers her for her generosity and kindness, and her family extends their heartfelt thanks to Katie Jackson, Andrea and Lisa for their care and assistance, as well as to Dr. Sarah A. Jonaus at OSU Hospitals and Dr. James Mohr, for their unwavering support and love throughout the years.
