Susan Elaine Wygle

Susan Elaine Wygle, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 65. She was born on November 3, 1960, in Newark, Ohio, to the late Roland and Emma Lou (Lantz) Wygle.

Susan attended the Licking County Vocational School and was a 1979 graduate of Granville High School. She retired as a secretary at the Licking County Developmental Disabilities. Beyond her professional life, Susan was well known for her passions and hobbies, which included gaming, baking, and motorcycling. Her mischievous yet endearing nature was evident in her love for being ornery and the joy she found in doing pallet sales and reselling the items. She enjoyed taking care of her grand pups, Dexter and Sable.

Susan appreciated the gift of life deeply, having received a double lung transplant. Her gratitude and support of organ transplantation highlight the importance of life-saving donations, and thus, the family kindly requests that any donations be made to the Ohio State Transplant Center in her memory.

She is survived by her sons, Brian Purks and Cain McClellan Gibson, both of Heath, Ohio; siblings, Mark (Candy) Wygle and Pam Rhoades

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Wygle.

Per Susan's wishes, there will be no services at this time. Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Susan and her family.
