Sherry Lynn Miles, age 72, of Newark, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born December 7, 1953 in Newark, Ohio to the late Ray and Helen (Boone) Stanley.

Sherry was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, gardening (both vegetables and flowers), and spending time with her many grandchildren. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Granville.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert W. “Bob” Miles, whom she married January 14, 1972; six children, Angie (Rob) Maron of Newark, Brandt (Amanda) Miles of Missouri, Brandi (Gabriel) Trout of Newark, Stacia (Fred) Bland of Newark, McKenna (Patrick) Lee of Hebron, and Savannah (Ryan) Pryor of McConnelsville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Mike (Debbie) Stanley of Millersport; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Stanley.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2740 Newark Granville Road, Granville, OH 43023.
