Shawn Orion Scott

Shawn Orion Scott was born on April 30th, 1967, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late John “Jack” Scott & Laura (Lorenz) Donnelley, and passed on October 9th, 2025, in Millersport Ohio at 58 years of age.

Shawn is survived by his kids, Kayleigh Scott & Jack Scott (Erika Scott), Brother John Donnelley, Sister Kay Scott, Sister in Law Terry Scott, Nephews Jason Scott (Amy Scott), Johnny Scott (Kerri Scott), Niece Karla Rumora (Jed Rumora) and countless friends & family members. Shawn is preceded in death by his parents John “Jack” Scott & Laura (Lorenz) Donnelley (Nicholas Dicicco), brother Randall “Randy” Scott & Grandmother Dee Williams as well as many Aunts.

Shawn’s legacy can be defined by his need for speed. A former pilot, entrepreneur & certified grease monkey; his passion was going fast. We mean REALLY fast. From racing motorcycles at a young age at Honda Hills, ice racing three-wheelers on Buckeye Lake to his STV “Sea Ya” and countless other watercraft, RC cars & boats, pit crewing for Crazy Fast Racing, flying Lear Jets for US Check, you get the picture. He even excelled in competition shooting & has the trophies to prove it. Life flew by fast for Shawn, yet the memories he made were abundant. He had the gift of gab telling tall tales that turned out to be real & exciting memories he made throughout his life & all of those lucky enough to be in it.

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we say “Sea Ya” on Saturday October 18th at 4pm at The Island House where friends & family can come together to share their condolences, while Kayleigh & Jack will be speaking at 5pm, but most importantly their memories & tall tales of Shawn Orion Scott.
