A funeral service, celebrating the life of Selma Jeffers Royer, 94, of Thornville, will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of The HOSKINSON-SCHOEDINGER Funeral Home, Thornville, with her pastor, Gerri Lampton as celebrant. Burial will follow at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery in Thornville. Selma died peacefully, Sunday Morning, March 11, 2012 , with her family gathered around her. She was born August 9, 1917 in Beallsville, the daughter of the late Albert E. and Jessie M. (Hoops) Jeffers. Along with her husband, she was the owner of Dons restaurant in Thornville from 1965-1980, and was known for her delicious pies. She was a member of the Thornville United Methodist Church and U.M. Women, and the CCL of Thornville. She is survived by her loving family: her daughters Sylvia Baker of Thornville, Mary (Jerry) Franks of Jacksontown, Susie (Dan) Hibbler of Thornville and James Royer of Thornville; siblings Ruth Pekar of Pensacola, FL., Wyn Ferguson of Hilliard, and Bernard Jeffers of Lewistown; along with her 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald E Royer on Sept. 23, 2000, and her three sisters and 1 brother. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral services. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O.
