Sandy always said, her life began once she met and married her husband, Dick, who she was married to for 64 years. Sandy worked in the banking industry for many years, was an avid reader, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband and caretaker, Dick; daughter, Kim (Tom); son, Mark; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren (who kept her young with their antics and pure, unselfish love for her); special brother-in-law, Donnie; and extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her in-laws, parents, daughter-in-law, Dana, and many other family members too numerous to mention.
Sandy had many, many friends, but there were some very special friends in her life, Ann Castle, Louie and Janice Compton, Joyce Dietz (who sent her cards regularly, which she always looked forward to and made her smile), Lois Hideg, and Dave Price. Dave has been a godsend to the family and will always hold a special place in their hearts.
Sandy’s last couple of years were difficult, but she was still the same sassy, classy lady as everyone knew her to be. At the request of Sandy, there will be no service. She just wanted everyone to remember her as the funny, loving, sassy lady she was.
In memory of Sandra K. Queen, please consider a donation to your local hospice, whose compassionate care brought peace and dignity in her final weeks.
