Samuel Edward “Sam” Brown, age 66, of Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 5, 2026. Sam was born October 21, 1960 in McMechen, West Virginia.

Sam was employed with Jess Howard Electric for 43 years where he was a Master Journeyman Electrician. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Sam loved Harley Davidsons and also classic trucks. Sam was always the life of the party and loved having fun. He was known to never know a stranger. He protected his family fiercely and was the kind of man that would drop everything whenever they needed him.

He is survived by four children, Austin (John) Volpicelli of Newark, Alyssa Brown of Plain City, Paige (Auggie) Heschmeyer of Columbus, and Garrett Brown of Columbus; grandchildren, Wyatt Volpicelli and Aurelia Heschmeyer; fiancée, Sandy Eurez of Mount Vernon; and a sister, Shamra Shy of Worthingon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Brown and Norma Jean (Hill) Brown Hughes.

A celebration of Sam’s life will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, at Mill Dam Corner Grille, 3982 National Road SE, Hebron, OH 43025.
