Ruby Mae Anderson

Ruby Mae Anderson, 87, Clintonville, died July 25, 2026, at Mount Carmel, St. Ann’s after a brief illness. She was born on May 22, 1939, in Columbus, the second daughter of the late Charles and Olive (Weaver) Porter.

Ruby lived nearly her entire life in Clintonville, attending North High School and The Ohio State University. She was active at North Broadway Methodist Church for most of her life, and Kiwanis for many years. She enjoyed drawing and painting, becoming a very good artist. She also loved OSU, where she earned a bachelor’s degree, and worked there for more than 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Brown, and her daughter, Karen Anderson.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Anderson of Flower Mound Texas; daughter-in-law, Michele (Carter) Anderson; granddaughters, Erin Anderson Jones, Sarah Anderson; and her former husband, Karl Anderson; daughter-in-law, Audrey Williams; sister-in-law, Carolyn Anderson; nephew, Jeff Anderson; nieces, Diana Swanger, Beth Griffith and Kim Brown.

Graveside service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, August 29th, in the Kirkersville Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kiwanis and North Broadway United Methodist Church.
