A funeral service celebrating the life of Ronald Lee “Ron” Mullins, age 86, of Johnstown, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Clifford Mason as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Johnstown, where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.
Ron was born February 17, 1939 in Bruin, Kentucky to the late Everett and Nannie (Robinson) Mullins. He passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Ron served his country with honor from November 12, 1957 to November 10, 1961. After his service, he embarked on a long and fulfilling career with the Kroger Corporation as a truck driver.
Ron was a man who reveled in the joys of nature and he thrived in the great outdoors. Always involved in a variety of projects, his pride in his home was evident to all who knew him, and he could often be found working tirelessly to maintain and improve his beloved property.
A man of many talents, Ron was an expert navigator, forever finding the best routes for trips near and far. He was a licensed pilot until the late 70’s and also enjoyed the thrill of skydiving on several occasions.
Family was the cornerstone of Ron's life. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he treasured the moments spent with his loved ones. His affection extended to his animals, filling his home with boundless love and warmth.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Marie (Camela) Mullins, whom he married June 22, 1963; by three children, Patrick (Holly) Mullins of Utica, Michael (Tracy) Mullins of Johnstown, and Maria (Michael) Crotty of Galena; grandchildren, Justin, Wade, and Annie Mullins, Kyle and Lucas Mullins, and Quinn and Grant Crotty; great-grandchildren, Casey and Finnley; step-grandchildren, Hanna, June, Nolan, and Alice; a sister, Sue Clark of London; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Vance Crotty; and a sister, Sandra Henson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers, Honor Flight – Columbus, or to the Licking County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
