Ronald Lee Coulter, of Baltimore, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his seep on Wednesday, 14 May 2026 while in the care of the Pickering House and Fairhope Hospice of Fairfield County, Ohio.
Ron was born 06 May 1941 to Norman & Juanita (Guge) Coulter in Columbus, Ohio. He is a graduate of West High School, Class of 1959, in Columbus, Ohio. Ron married his high school sweetheart, Marie Kathleen Berger on 19 April 1960. They moved to and raised their children in Baltimore, Ohio, beginning in 1971. He was a resident of Baltimore up until his passing, in the same home he shared with his wife and children.
Ron was proceeded in death by both of his parents and his sweetheart, Marie.
He is survived by his three children, Greg A. (Melissa) Coulter, Stephen C. (Kristel) Coulter, and Mary Kay Coulter; his brother, Charles William Coulter (Bill); grandsons, Caleb E. Coulter, Liam S. Coulter, Xavier, Avery and Kendrick King.
Ron was a salesman all of his life and loved to talk to everyone. He enjoyed putting a smile on everyone's face. His first employment was at the Lazarus Department Store, followed by RCA Records, Olivetti, selling type writers, Cannon USA, selling printers, and last retired from H & R lighting where he sold light bulbs.
Ron enjoyed attending flea markets to buy and sell collectibles from coins, stamps, and trading cards, but most especially the political and sports buttons that he and his business partner made. He was most particularly proud of the OSU Football buttons that they would design and sell.
Ron is a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and has held various callings and positions within the church. Most recently he has been attending the Pickerington First Ward for the last 28 years.
Ron will be laid to rest next to his eternal companion, Marie, at the Basil Memorial Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio. We rejoice in his reunion with her and with his parents in our heavenly home above.
The family would like to thank all those who have cared for Ron over the last several weeks of his life. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation in his name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio on-line at their website, Alz.org, to honor Ron. Or you may make a donation to Fairhope Hospice on-line at FAIRHOPEHOSPICE.org, also to honor Ron. Thank you.
A funeral service will be held at Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E. Main St., Kirkersville, Ohio 43033, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 12:00pm. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00am to 12:00pm that morning prior to the service.
A brief graveside service will be held immediately following the services at the Basil Memorial Cemetery in Baltimore, Ohio.
Dedication of the grave will be given by Ken Baldwin.
