Robert W. "Bob" Guy, a devoted family man and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19th, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on Monday, February 5th, 1951, in Athens, Ohio, Bob lived a fulfilling life marked by his dedication to family, work, and service to others.

Bob is survived by his beloved significant other, Shelly Snyder. He was a proud father to his children, Tina Inscore, Paula (Tim) Byers, and Robert (Dawn) Guy, Jr., and lovingly devoted to his grandchildren, Jesse, Nathan, Kody, Austin, Bryce, Royce, Isaiah, Miss T, and Miss A. He also leaves behind treasured memories with his great-grandchildren, Kingston, Ellianna, Braxton, Raelynn, Bryley, Korbin, Warren, and Theo. Bob will be fondly remembered by his sister, Sharon Dexter, brother, Johnny Guy, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Louis Guy and Ruth Owens, his spouse, Juanita Guy, brother, Louis Guy, and sister, Mary Kvintus, Bob now joins them in eternal rest.

A self-employed truck driver for over twenty years, Bob was a dedicated professional, known for his commitment and reliability. Beyond his work, he found joy in working on cars, gardening, and spending precious time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bob had a generous heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His great personality and love for humor made him a beloved jokester among friends and family.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial visitation on Thursday, April 23rd, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service in Newark, OH.
