Rita Ann Manson

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, Rita Ann Manson. Rita passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025, at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Heath, Ohio.

Rita was born on Sunday, August 21st, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio, to Clarence and Catherine Palm. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, James, Robert, Fred, and Jack Palm, and her sisters, Ruth Palm and Betty Cunningham.

Rita dedicated her professional life to serving as a meticulous bookkeeper and tax preparer, esteemed for her keen attention to detail and dedication to her clients. Beyond her career, she was a passionate reader, and cherished her time tending to her yard and garden, taking peaceful walks, completing jigsaw puzzles, and visiting with her family and friends, who meant the world to her.

Rita’s love and legacy live on through her cherished daughter, Barbara Holmberg, and her son-in-law, Stephen Holmberg. She was a proud grandmother to Joey Holmberg and his wife, Monica, as well as Stephanie Holmberg. Her joy was magnified with the birth of her great-grandchildren: Kali, Kamden, Makenzie, Kailyn, and Trenton. Rita also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, whose lives she touched with her kindness and warmth.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Central Ohio or the Salvation Army in Newark, Ohio, in Rita’s memory. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Central Ohio and the Chapel Grove Inn for their compassionate care and support during Rita’s final weeks.

Arrangements are entrusted to Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, who provided exceptional service in honoring Rita’s life and legacy.

Rita’s gentle spirit and loving nature will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy of love and kindness continues to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
