Richard Owen Furbee

Richard Owen Furbee, age 92, of Hebron, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at his home. He was born May 27, 1933 in Hebron, Ohio to the late Rufus Wilson and Jessie M. (Helser) Furbee.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War Era. He was employed for 16 years at Kaiser Aluminum and retired from the Newark Air Force Base. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by two sons, Jeff (Elizabeth) Furbee of South Portsmouth and Doug (Katrina) Furbee of Heath; grandchildren, Courtney (Bobby) Plummer and Cory (Nicole) Furbee; and great-grandchildren, Ellie Butler, Abbie Butler, Caleb Furbee, and Ema Furbee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dean Furbee.

At his request, there will be no service observed.
