It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Arthur E. Ball, 78 of Heath, Ohio, a devoted minister, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many, on Thursday, September 4th, 2025, at his residence, while surrounded by his loving family.
Arthur was born on a Friday, September 13th, 1946, in Newark, Ohio. His life was a testament to faith, dedication, and love. A long time member of the Newark Baptist Temple, Arthur devoted his life to the ministry, touching countless lives with his compassionate service. His love for history, biographies, and poetry filled his leisure hours, along with the old westerns he so greatly enjoyed. Gifted with words, Arthur published a daily devotional book that continues to inspire and uplift.

Together, they built a family grounded in faith and kindness, imparting their biblical values to their children: Mark D. (Barbara) Ball, Michael D. (Gina) Ball, John A. (Nancy) Ball, and Rebecca R. (Neal) Beck. His legacy continues through his cherished 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
Arthur is also survived by his brother, Don (Sue) Ball, and sisters-in-law, Theresa Ball, Ellen Byers, and Judy Guthrie, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Those who knew Arthur adored his welcoming spirit and treasure the memories of time spent in his company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur C. Ball and Ethel Mae (Carpenter) Ball; a brother, Dan Ball, and his sister, Marjorie Lavery.
