Ralph D. Wagner

Ralph Dean Wagner, "Daddy Wags", passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born on May 14, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Harry and Kathryn (Hutchins) Wagner.

Ralph served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army, stationed in Germany.

He found immense joy in woodworking and working on clocks and was a supporter of Ohio State and Sheridan football. He enjoyed visiting Amish Country with his wife and the many fun tour bus trips they took. His devotion to his family was unwavering, and he was a proud and faithful supporter of his children and grandchildren's sporting events; he adored each of them and also his grandpup, Rosie.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 62 years (October 20, 1963), Norma Jane (Gobert) Wagner; children, Cammie (Jeff) Edwards, Kevin (Susan) Wagner, and Kelly (Missie) Wagner; grandchildren, Audra (Jeff) Cannon, Clayton Edwards, Lauren Wagner, Jillian Wagner, Christopher (Emily) Douglas, and Emilee Wagner; great-grandchildren, Claire, Tristan, Coraleigh, Ronin, and Reign; sister, Nancy (Don) Roshon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Wagner; in-laws, Harold and Erma Gobert; nieces, Amy Cook and Janel Musgrave and brother-in-law, Mike Thomas.

Family and friends may gather on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 56 S. Main St., Thornville, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 11:00am with Pastor Jim Condrey officiating. Burial to follow in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Millersport Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
