Pearl Louise Gilliland

Lou Gilliland was called home on October 25th, 2025, after fighting one heck of a battle. Lou was born in Newark, Ohio to the late Michell Lee "Red" and Dorothy Lucille "Dot" Bell.

She met and married the love of her life (after 6 months of dating) Clyde "Skeet" Gilliland on November 19th, 1977, they shared 42 years of love and laughter together. Lou lived for her family, if you asked her what her hobbies were, she would have said just that, Family. Lou also enjoyed working in her flower beds and fairy gardens, which is where you could find her 90 percent of the time when the days were warm, Lou was a stay-at- home mom, when her 2 youngest children began school, she became a room mother and a chaperone, volunteering at any school function. Later, she began her career at The Woodlands in 1997, where she worked for over 24 years and retired.

Lou is survived by her 2 Loving daughters; Tanya and Tonya Gilliland, Loving Grand Daughter; Madison May, Nieces; Suzanne (Ron) Suttles, Edith "Yogi" Gilliland, Jackie (Dale) Mckoyes -Appel and Rhonda Gilliland. Great Nieces; Shawna (Cody) Knox, Nephews; Chad Gilliland, John Wade and Jason Mckoyes. Brother; Jr.(Billie) Mckoyes, Sister-in-law; Rose Wade.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell ("Red") and Dorothy ("Dot") Bell, Mother and Father-in-law; Oakley Bernard ("O.B") and Lillian Mae ("Mazie") Gilliland, Loving Husband; Clyde ("Skeet") Gilliland, Loving Daughter; Crystal ("Luci") Gilliland, Sister; Beatrice ("Bea") Romine, Brothers-in-Law; Gene Everett (Diane) Gilliland and John (Linda) Gilliland

To know Lou, was to love her. She gave us a love that was so strong and felt so safe. She was the kindest soul you were to ever meet and left a lasting impression on everyone she came to know throughout the years. She will be loved always and missed forever.
