Hebron, Ohio - Pamela K. Van Sky, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at the age of 83. Pamela was born on Wednesday, November 25th, 1942, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Thomas Earl and Ruth Margaret Davis. She filled her life with love, warmth, and creativity, touching the hearts of everyone around her.
Pamela was a devoted homemaker, whose home was a sanctuary of love and laughter. Her most cherished role was that of a mother and grandmother, a testament to her deep love and dedication to her family. She is survived by her loving son, Christopher R. Van Sky; her step-sons, Randy (Geri) Van Sky and James (Jennifer) Van Sky; her beloved grandchildren, Erica, Katie (Jason), Samantha (Will), and Courtney (Ian); and her great-grandchildren, Rachel, Willow, Pippa, Quincey, Cooper, and Ezekiel. She is also survived by her brother, Larry (Carol) Davis; sister, Sherri Van Horn; sister-in-law, Nancy Fisher; daughter-in-law, Tina Van Sky; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pamela was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Douglas James Van Sky; her parents; her step-daughter, Susan Barber; her sister, Marlene Naayers; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Naayers and Gene Van Horn.
Pamela's passions extended beyond her family. She was a dedicated member of First Community Church of Buckeye Lake. She was the Matriarch of the Hooks, Needles & Novels club, where she shared her love for knitting with friends. Her creative spirit shone through in her crafting and her love of reading. Pamela enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, sitting on her porch, shopping, and most importantly, spending time with her family.
The family invites those who knew and loved Pamela to contribute to causes close to her heart. Donations can be made in her honor to Capitol City Hospice or the Licking County Library.
