Owen Ramsey

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Owen R. Ramsey, 100, of Pataskala, will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with his pastor, the Rev. Matthew VanWinkle as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Kirkersville Cemetery, where Owen will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Eloise (Bauman), who preceded him in death on October 26, 2003.Born January 13, 1915 in Galllipolis, the son of the late Wilbert N and Ina Mae (Martindale) Ramsey. A retired farmer and school bus driver, Owen enjoyed hunting and spending time with children. He was a life-long active member of the Kirkersville United Methodist Church.In addition to his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother Hershel, an infant sister Martha, his sister Julia Collins and foster daughter, Karen Kennedy.He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews, many friends and his church family at Kirkersville.Friends may call this evening (Thursday, November 12, 2015) from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E Main St. in Kirkersville; and again on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kirkersville U.M.
