Noel Rodney Smith

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Noel Rodney Smith, who passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the age of 99, in Newark, Ohio. He was born on June 2, 1926, in Glenford, Ohio, to the late Percy and Bertha Elizabeth (Longshore) Smith.

Noel proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. He graduated from Franklin University with a Bachelor's degree. Later in life, he had a career in accounting at the Defense General Supply Center.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Francis, Ray, and Dale Smith and nephews, Richard Smith and Gene Smith.

Noel is survived by his nieces, Juanita Smith and Carolyn (Larry) Meade; nephew, Stanley (Connie) Smith, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 1:00pm in the New Lexington Cemetery, 440 Swigart Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
