Mary Lou Wright, a cherished resident of Newark, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27th, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on June 26th, 1945, in Norwich, England. Mary embraced life with laughter, warmth, dedication, and an unyielding love for her family and friends.

A devoted and loving homemaker, Mary committed her life to nurturing and supporting her family. She leaves behind a lasting legacy through her children: Leland (Carrie) White, Andrew White, Mary (Clint) Pharris, Christian Mallory, Johnny (Rachael Sisk) Wright, and Dennis (Angela) Wright. Her extended family includes numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a plethora of loving nieces, nephews, and friends all who brought immense joy into her life.

Mary is also survived by her siblings, Mavis Day, Margaret (Jerry) Henderson, Lewis Smith, and Jeannette (Dennis) Dunn. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Harold and Kathleen Smith, her brother Donald Smith, and her husband, Richard Wright Sr.

Her passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. Mary found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching television, especially cheering for her favorite, the Cincinnati Bengals, and admiring Patrick Mahomes. She treasured moments shared with family over coffee and particularly loved cooking for them during the holidays.

A graveside service to celebrate Mary's remarkable life will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newark, OH, on Thursday, May 1st, 2025, at 12:00 pm. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend this farewell tribute.

The family kindly requests that donations be made in Mary's memory to Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, to help with funeral expenses.

Arrangements for Mary are under the care of Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service in Newark, OH. Mary Lou Wright will be remembered for her compassionate heart, her devotion to her family, and a lifetime filled with love and laughter. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
