Mary Ellen Perkins

Mary Ellen Perkins, age 61, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at her home following a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer. She was born October 5, 1963 in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Mary retired from the Anomatic Corp. where she had been employed for over 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, thrift shopping at “Lazarus”, and camping.

She is survived by her daughter, Kandie Sue Ellen Larimer of Newark; sons, Michael Lynn Newell and Anthony Richard Amos Newell, both of Newark; mother, Grace Martha Rose (Evans) Perkins of Newark; fiancé, Carl Sipe of Buckeye Lake; five grandchildren, Payton Newell, Paige Elizabeth Newell, Damien Newell, Jase Thorne, and Josiah Fawn; brother, Thomas W. (Pamela) Perkins, Sr. of Newark; sisters, Brenda (Rick) Brown of Newark and Sue (Jim) Moore of Logan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Amos Perkins; and by her brother, Donald Perkins, and twin brother, Mark Allen Perkins.

The family will have a celebration of Mary’s life at a later date. She will be laid to rest in the family cemetery, West Wood Cemetery in Latham.
