Mary C. (Gingras) Johnson, born on July 14, 1977, in Newark, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, in Saint Clairsville, OH, . Mary touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.

A dedicated scholar, Mary was a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, holding a Master’s degree and maintaining a lifelong passion for education and learning. Her love for her alma mater was evident in her unwavering enthusiasm as an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Mary's spirit for adventure was infectious. She cherished traveling and creating memorable experiences with her loved ones, particularly enjoying her frequent visits to Disney World. Her dog, Nala, held a special place in her heart, offering companionship and joy throughout her life.

She is survived by her devoted mother and stepfather, Joseph and Anna Pino; beloved children, Dominique Michelle (Ryan) Shea, Demitrius Michael Gingras, and Brielle Monique Gingras; and cherished grandchildren, Lillian Jenelle Harbaugh, Emerson Oliver Shea, Ariella Nicole Gingras, and Jameson Henry Shea. She also leaves behind her brothers, John Francis (Desiree) Gingras and Matthew Christopher Pino, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who adored her.

Mary was preceded in death by her son, Devin, and her maternal grandparents, Jeannette Anne Padgett and Leo Francis Padgett.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Mary’s life during a visitation at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service in Newark, OH, on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Newark. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Mary and her family during this time of loss.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, 1699 W. Mound Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223, to support research and aid for diabetes, a cause close to her heart.

Mary will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of warmth, kindness, and passion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
