Mark Edwin Moran, age 68, of Newark, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio).

Mark was born May 9, 1958 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Carey Raymond and Maralyn Lois (Wheeler) Moran.

Over the years, Mark was employed with Ideal Sanitation, La Paloma, and Go Kleen Car Wash. He loved to be outdoors in nature and enjoyed watching TV, especially Westerns and sports including the Cincinnati Bengals and women’s basketball. He attended Family of Faith Community Church. Mark loved his wife’s home cooking, especially her spaghetti, chili, and sloppy joes. He also loved drinking coffee and had to start the morning off with a cup or two.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Lynn (Jefferies) Moran, whom he married September 14, 2023; step-son, Tyler James Jefferies; brothers, Alan Moran and Robert Moran; sister, Elaine Moran; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Moran, and two sisters, Lois Moran and Lucille Moran.
