Marcie Evette Wheatley, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15th, 2026, at the age of 51. Born on Sunday, March 2nd, 1975, in Zanesville, Ohio, Marcie spent her final years residing in Westerville, Ohio, surrounded by her cherished family and friends.
Marcie's life will be honored in a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, May 31st, 2026. Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, located at 285 East Main Street, Kirkersville, Ohio. The Brownsville Chapter #486 will kindly hold the Order of the Eastern Star services at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception celebrating her life at the Hebron Masonic Temple in Hebron.
Marcie is survived by her husband, Ryan Wheatley, and their loving children: Lauren Mackenzie French (Caleb), Gwendolyn Noel Wildermuth (Justin), and Logan Harrington Wheatley (Briana Ireton). She was a proud grandmother to Elric and Matthew. Her father, William L. Snider, will deeply miss her, as will her siblings Threese Dilley and Denisea Crossan (Larry), and her brother Larry (Kim) Snider. Marcie was adored by her nine nieces and nephews, as well as her extended family at the Brownsville Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
Marcie was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Dodrill Snider, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life.
Marcie was a graduate of West Muskingum High School, class of 1993.
A graduate of Bradford College, Marcie earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal studies. She spent seven fulfilling years as a Contract Administrator for DNO Produce, where her dedication and attention to detail left a lasting impact on her colleagues and clients.
Marcie was an active member of her community and a cherished member of the Brownsville Chapter #486, Order of Eastern Star, where she served diligently as the conductress. Her commitment also extended to being an active Rainbow Girl and Rainbow Mother Advisor, as well as a DeMolay Mom and supporter. She was also a dedicated Military Spouse for 20 years.
Her passions included family time with her children and grandchildren, camping, outdoor activities, and her love for gaming and garden gnomes, all of which brought joy to her and those around her.
The family prefers that memorial contributions in Marcies memory be directed to the Stephanie Speelman foundation for Breast Cancer research at the Ohio State University. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
The family expresses deep gratitude to Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, for their compassionate care of Marcie and her family.
Marcie will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unyielding love for her family and community. Her spirit and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have known her.
