Lynn Trent Kitzmiller

A funeral service celebrating the life of Lynn Trent Kitzmiller, age 86, of New Albany, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will take place in Jefferson Twp. Cemetery in Blacklick.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville.

Lynn was born December 2, 1938 in Wonderland (Gahanna), Ohio to the late Walter Elsworth and Mabel Lucille (Van Lear) Kitzmiller. He passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at his home.

Lynn was a 1959 graduate of Gahanna High School. He owned and operated Ace Trash-Away, from which he retired. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. An avid car enthusiast, Lynn was a member of the Strokers Rod and Custom Club. He also enjoyed woodcarving and was a member of the Land of Legend Woodcarvers Club in Newark and was a wonderful artist. Lynn also enjoyed spending time with his family and boating, especially on Buckeye Lake.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jeanie Kitzmiller, whom he married January 23, 1960; son, Greg (Laurie) Kitzmiller of Gahanna; daughter, Tina (Jon) May of Pataskala; grandchildren, Kelsey (Spencer) Stanley of Etna, Kyle Kitzmiller (Maddie Jordan) of Obetz, and Jason (Laura) Moore of Logan County; and several nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Kitzmiller and Loren Kitzmiller; and a sister, Dellawanda Kitzmiller.
