Lucas Matthew Lowry

It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the unexpected passing of Luke Lowry, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother and friend who left us on May 4, 2025 at the age of 48.

Luke was born May 7, 1976 in Columbus, Ohio to Mike and Linda (Bennett) Lowry. He is survived by his wife Jennifer and son Maxwell (Cubby), brother Scott (Misty) and many nieces and nephews.

He was a beloved husband to Jennifer, happily married for 17 years and a very proud father of Max, he loved them both like no other. Luke was the kind of guy who could make you laugh when you were crying and make you cry from laughing too hard. The man had a joke for every occasion, a smart-witted remark ready at the drop of the hat, and a heart bigger than his favorite recliner. He leaves behind a family who will forever quote his one liners, shake their heads at his jokes and miss him beyond words.

He lived simply, loved deeply, and always had time for one more hunt with his dad, brother and son. It wasn’t just about the hunt—it was the time together, the traditions, memories made in the walks, woods or in a tree stand.

Calling hours will be 3-5pm on May 12, 2025 at Hoskinson Funeral Home, 56 S. Main St., Thornville, Ohio 43076 with a Celebration of Life to follow.

In lieu of donation, he’d much rather you spend that money on a good meal, cold drink, slot machine or a poker game, and some time well spent with people you love. Tell stories and make them count just like he always did.
