Lori Kay Parman

Lori Kay Parman (Griffith), age 63, passed away on September 21, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on August 31, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio, Lori made her home in Kirkersville, Ohio, where she lived for the past 40 years.

Lori was a woman of many talents who expressed her passion for life through her creativity and strong sense of family and community. She was deeply devoted to her husband, Rob, with whom she shared over 45 years together and nearly 44 years of marriage. Young loves who grew into true lifelong partners, their bond and enduring love were at the heart of her life.

Over the years, Lori served as a dedicated Girl Scout troop leader, owned her own nail salon in Kirkersville, and worked driving for an auto dealership. Highly creative, Lori loved quilting, making handmade crafts, and preparing gift bags for her favorite time of year, Christmas, a holiday whose music she joyfully listened to year round. She enjoyed local Kirkersville events, bringing her creative spirit to everything from fire department Halloween pumpkin carving and cookie contests to volunteering to build the local playground.

Above all, Lori lived life on her own terms and with a spirited love for music. She could often be found belting out lyrics to Meat Loaf and Bob Seger at full volume, or driving around town in her convertible with the top down, singing along without a care in the world. She was an avid fan of Michigan Wolverines football, much to the dismay of her husband, creating a passionate house divided between Wolverines and Buckeyes. She loved playing games and held an unwavering commitment to her family, instilling a strong sense of independence and unconditional love in her daughters to ensure they grew up as tight-knit and supportive sisters.

Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy, and her brothers, Dennis and Kenny. She is survived by her loving husband, Rob; her three daughters, Ashley (Steven), Tiffany (Zach), and Rachel (engaged to Steve); her cherished grandchildren, CJ, Janis, Levi, and Noah; as well as her siblings, Christy, Don, Pam, Jack, and Andy.

A celebration of Lori’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
