Obituary

Linda Treinish, age 84, of Millersport, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 30, 2026, after a brave and graceful battle with dementia.

Born on February 28, 1942, Linda lived a life rooted in faith and defined by her absolute devotion to her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Jack Sr., with whom she shared a beautiful, enduring marriage. As a mother, granny, and great-granny, her family was her greatest joy and her proudest legacy. She poured endless love into every generation, leaving behind a wealth of cherished memories.

Linda was a familiar and beloved face in her community, serving as a school cook for Millersport Schools for many years, where she took great pride in feeding and caring for generations of local children with her signature warmth and kindness. She was also a highly talented and accomplished cake baker and decorator, bringing sweet joy to countless family milestones, weddings, and local celebrations with her beautiful, delicious creations.

Linda had a deep, unshakeable love for Jesus that guided her steps and comforted her throughout her life's journey, especially in her later years. Her faith was beautifully reflected in her community, as she loved decorating her church, pouring her heart, creativity, and care into making the house of the Lord beautiful for every season and service.

Those who knew Linda will fondly remember her favorite things. She was happiest with a hot cup of coffee in her hand, enjoying the crisp air of the fall season, or surrounded by the magic of Christmas, which she made unforgettable for her family every single year. She was an avid thrifter with her granddaughters, Jessica and Megan, always finding hidden treasures and joy in the hunt, and she loved nothing more than the peace and freedom of being out on the boat, spending sunny days on Buckeye Lake with the people she loved most.

Even as dementia took pieces of her memory, it could never dim the beautiful spirit, kindness, and love she gave so freely.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Treinish Sr.; her children, Steve (Monica) Treinish, Jack Jr. (Janie) Treinish, and Jill (Mike) Wiles; her grandchildren: Justin (Samantha) Treinish, Joshua (Taryn) Wiles, Jack (Chloe) Treinish III, Tate Treinish, Trevor Treinish, Jessica Treinish, and Megan Wiles; and her great-grandchildren: Eliana Wiles, Theodore Treinish, and Isaac Wiles. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom will cherish her memory.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Millersport Methodist Church, 2310 Refugee Street, Millersport, on Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Jerry Wiles officiating. Burial will follow in Millersport Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at Millersport Methodist Church on Monday, October 5th, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Linda to the charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and desire to help others.
