Lamar O. Woods

A funeral service celebrating the life of Lamar O. Woods, age 84, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Bobo officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Lamar was born February 8, 1941 in West Blocton, Alabama to the late Willie Woods, Sr. and the late Gertrude (Banks) Woods. He passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at his home.
