Kitty (Mary Katherine Higginbotham) Wadkowski, age 62, of Granville, Ohio, passed away July 27, 2026 after an extended illness.

Kitty was a 1982 graduate of Upper Arlington High School and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. She devoted her career to serving the vulnerable elderly, working to promote their independence and dignity. Her clients and colleagues respected her compassion and non-judgemental attitudes while ensuring her clients received the highest quality of care.

On June 21, 1997, Kitty married the love of her life, best friend and teammate, Michael Wadkowski. Kitty and Michael loved spending time outside in their gardens, paddling their canoe and camping. They shared their passion with others by instructing many on the art of paddling and other outdoor activities.

Kitty is survived by Michael, her mother, Mary Noel DeBrick-Blair, and her aunt, Kate Holmes.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 23, from 12-3 p.m. at Amelita Miracle Barn, 4395 Carriage Hill Lane, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43220.

Donations can be made to Life Care Alliance or the Columbus Paddling Club in Kitty's name.
