Kenneth Edward “Ken” Miller, age 62, of Newark, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ken was born January 21, 1964 in Newark, Ohio.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Ken faithfully served his country during Desert Storm. He was a district manager for Jiffy Lube. Ken was a member of the American Legion Post 85 where his father, Jim, was a former Post Commander. Ken had varied interests including fishing, his Mustang, going to the casino, and watching NASCAR. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and his dogs, Daisy, Ginger, and Nancy, were the light of his life.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 34 years, Patricia Ann “Patty” (Rydberg) Miller, whom he married June 15, 1992; five children, Kelly Miller, Kenneth James (Monica) Miller, Ron (Montania) Rydberg, Adam Edward (Kara) Miller, and Nichole Ann (Elijah) Cain; his mother, Miriam Louise (Manning) Miller; grandchildren, Harper, Karsen, Kinleigh, Camilla, Marcel, James, Aspynn, Austynn, Mariah, Paige, and one on the way; a sister, Sylvia Marie Miller; nephew, Kyle (Fae) Miller; great- nieces and nephews, Ava, Draven, Leyla, and Chris; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Miller, in 2000.
A graveside service will be observed at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, at Cedar Hill Cemetery Veterans Section where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Ken will be laid to rest near his father.
