It is with hearts full of cherished memories and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Lynn Corder, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Kenny passed away on Thursday, July 16th, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on Sunday, August 18th, 1946, in Coshocton, Ohio, Kenny lived a life marked by dedication to family, work, and community.
Kenny will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Corliss A. (Proudley) Corder, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and laughter, having married on May 29, 1971. He was a proud father to Kenneth Stephen (Michelle) Corder, Marcia Ann (Terry L.) Pettet, and Warren Charles (Rebecca) Corder. Kenny's family also includes his dear sisters, Nancy Darner and Debra Kaufman, and brother, Sam (Linda). He was cherished by his ten grandchildren: Caelyn (Dalton), Alison (Seth), Ryleigh, Brooklyn (Grant), Austin, Logan (Jessica), Jeremiah, Emily (Sean), Ellory, and Quinn, as well as three great-grandchildren: Landon, Elizabeth, and Elsie. He is also survived by cousins Ronnie Sowers and Darlene Nichols, and a legion of friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Mary Maxine Corder, who instilled in him the values of hard work and community service that he carried throughout his life.
After serving his country with honor as a helicopter gunman in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, Kenny returned to civilian life with the same commitment and steadfastness. He was a dedicated forklift operator with Anchor Hocking for many years and carved out a distinguished career as an architectural draftsman.
Kenny was a former member of the Newark Elk's Lodge and a proud member of the American Legion, Post 85, in Newark. He was a man of varied interests, from bowling and jigsaw puzzles to gardening and playing euchre. He and Corliss shared a love for ballroom dancing. Kenny was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan who found immense joy in family gatherings and good food, which he approached with the same enthusiasm and zest he brought to every aspect of his life.
Kenny's absolutely greatest delight was the time that he spent with his loving family!
