Kenneth Leroy Bungard

A graveside service honoring the life of Kenneth Leroy “Kenny” Bungard, age 78, of Glenford, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Kenny was born August 11, 1947 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Lewis Watson Bungard and the late Myrtle T. (Standiford) Bungard. He passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

Kenny was a veteran of the United States Navy and faithfully served his country during Vietnam. He was an over the road truck driver for 44 years and was also a tattoo artist. Kenny had a variety of interests and especially loved camping, fishing, playing cards, motorcycles, Dungeons and Dragons, and his fur babies, Odie, Cindy, Lucy, Scrappy, Jojo, and Maggie. He was preceded in death by his dogs, Blu and Pete, and his cat, Boots.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl A. (Woodgeard) Bungard, whom he married February 14, 1987; and by twelve children (his, mine, and ours): Jerry (Jamie J.) Dempsey, Crystal “CJ” Arnold (Kavin Davis), Kathleen (Michael) Weber, Krystal Lee Yando, Lewis W. Bungard II (fiancée, Cindy), Henry “Hank” Bungard, Tanya Bungard, Dusty Bungard, Sarah M. Bungard, Jessica Ware, Danny Jo (Allison) Nicolay, and Kennedy W. Nicolay; 24 grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and a niece, Michelle Alley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Keener and Sara A. Bungard; and by a niece, Lisa Marie Alley; and a nephew, Michael W. Foor.
