Kathryn A. Dennis

Kathryn A. Dennis, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the age of 79. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 16, 1947, Kathryn spent her years in Newark, Ohio, where she was cherished by her family and community.

Kathryn was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home. Her legacy is carried on by her children: Robert W. (Patricia) Dennis, Jr., Darlena R. Compton, Rozzi J. (Emma) Messina II, and Wendy Ann Dennis Podolak. She was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and a great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Kathryn is also survived by her dear sister, Yvonne (Rick) Poland Bretz, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever remember her kindness and generosity. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Dennis; her parents, Charles and Marilyn Dolbeare; and her brothers, Ronald, Rodney, and Robert Dolbeare.

A woman of strong community ties, Kathryn was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Heath, where she found camaraderie and purpose. Her involvement in the organization was a testament to her caring nature and commitment to helping others.

Kathryn's life was a testament to love, resilience, and dedication. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. A private service will be held to honor her memory, where those who loved her will gather to celebrate a life well-lived.
