Judith A. “Judy” (Braden) Sifford, age 55, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Judy was born April 7, 1971 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Richard E. and Helen Louise (Thompson) Braden.

Judy loved animals and was known to bring home every stray that crossed her path. Her family notes that she was definitely herself clear to the end.

She is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Amber Arter of Newark and Justin Thomas Arter of Columbus; and a brother, Gene Braden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilbur and Margaret Thompson and Richard O. and Thelma Braden.

At her request, no service will be observed.
