Joan G. Griffith, age 77, of Newark, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Joan was born January 8, 1949 in Lewisburg, Ohio to the late John Lewis and Merlie (Thompson) Davis.

Joan was employed in the office with Merry Maids for many years. She attended Newark Church of the Nazarene and loved to travel, especially to Gatlinburg.

She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Donald E. Griffith; son, Tim (Becky) Skidmore of Coshocton; daughter, Tammy (Randy) Wilson of Newark; step-daughters, Dawn (Jeremy) Bevard of Heath and Wendy Carpenter of Newark; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and four step-grandchildren; a brother, John Lewis (Brenda) Davis of Centerburg; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
