Jerri Danielle Scott

Jerri Danielle Scott, age 57, of Newark, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Jerri was born December 15, 1968 in Logan, Ohio to the late Harry Edward and Hazel Jane (Weaver) Vermaaten.

Jerri enjoyed crafting and loved her only grandson dearly. She also loved her dogs, Lucky and Bear.

She is survived by her daughter, Jordan Hammontree (Joey Moore) of Newark; grandson, Jordan Michael Moore; siblings, Jody Davis of Newark, John (Rita) Vermaaten of Pataskala, Jeff Vermaaten and Joseph Vermaaten, both of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Joseph “Kenny” Scott; and by her sister, Judy Teegardin.

The family will have a gathering to celebrate Jerri’s life at a later date.
