A memorial service celebrating the life of Jeffrey Lynn “Jeff” Roberts, age 69, of Newark, will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.

Jeff was born November 24, 1956 in Newark, Ohio. He passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2026 at Altercare Newark North.

Jeff was a 1975 graduate of Newark High School. He retired from Tamarack Farms. Jeff was a former member of Cox United Methodist Church. He enjoyed car shows, woodworking, and collecting antiques. He was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines, LA Rams, and the Indiana Fever women’s basketball team.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelli (Bryan) Stallworth of Newark; son, Chris Roberts of Newark; mother, Mary (Bradley) Roberts of Newark; five grandchildren, Laylah Stallworth, Uriah Roberts, Bryson Stallworth, Jasiah Roberts, and Zaryah Roberts; brothers, C. Orn Roberts of Newark, Tom Roberts of Heath, and Mike (Belinda) Roberts of Heath; sisters, Peggy Kerr of Mississippi and Connie (Carl) Schwarz of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clement Orn Roberts; and a sister, Rose Dugan.
