Jean Nicole Fowler, age 47, of Newark, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 206 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Jean fought a valiant battle with brain cancer (glioblastoma) for the past year.
Jean was born August 18, 1978 in Newark, Ohio. She was a dedicated medical assistant at Mount Carmel Family Practice in New Albany where she faithfully cared for her patients and made a significant impact on those around her. Jean cherished many passions in her life. She was an avid reader and found joy in the simple pleasures like doing nails and playing Bingo. Her greatest joy, however, was spending quality time with her family and doting on her beloved grandchildren. Jean had a fondness for turtles, the beach, and had a special place in her heart for her cherished cats: Boots, Lars, Socks, and Slippers.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Larry G. Fowler II; daughters, Tiffanie (Dakota) Cook, Ayrica Fowler, and Alycia Fowler; grandchildren, Miyah, Theodore, and Jayden; mother, Pearl (Moss) Stewart; father, Lonnie Stewart; sisters, Danielle Stewart and Andrea (Jason) Smith; brother, Travis Stewart; mother-in-law, Jewel Fowler; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marsha (Denny) Hill, Julia (Adam) Anderson, Susan Harsher, Christopher Fowler, and Adam Fowler; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Larry G. Fowler, Sr.
Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home 179 Granville Street in Newark.
