Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.
Jayce was born November 23, 2004 in Zanesville, Ohio. He passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
A natural athlete, Jayce played basketball and football during his younger years, but it was baseball where he truly shined. Starting at the age of 13, he spent four memorable years playing travel baseball with the Bisons, a time he cherished and excelled in. His athleticism also found an outlet in Pataskala where he enjoyed playing softball. A proud graduate of Newark High School's Class of 2023, Jayce was a standout in many ways, especially on the baseball field. Jayce lettered all three years with the Newark High School Wildcats, showcasing his exceptional skills and sportsmanship.
His love for sports extended beyond the field, as he was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Guardians and the Browns.
Jayce's enthusiasm and dedication were not limited to sports alone. He embarked on his professional journey with Blue Tank and Pump Rental in Columbus where he worked as a technician.
Jayce's warm smile and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, his laughter, and his unwavering support for those around him.
He will be greatly missed by his mother, Amanda Lucille Kinser; father, William Louis Dansby; fiancee, Natalie Wente and their son on the way; Natalie’s family, Tiffany and Kyle, Andreas and Alexa, and Haley, Alexis, Havin, Isabel, Kaleb, Avery, and Addison; brothers, Jaiden Dansby and J’Kel Dansby; half brothers and sister, Erik, Dominik, Isaiah, Dylan, and Anjel; maternal grandparents, Kathy (Dave) Day, Kevin Weekly, and Joel Kinser; paternal grandparents, Cindy Dansby and William Dansby; maternal great-grandparents, Roger and Nancy James and Joe and Barb Kinser; aunts, Courtney Weekly and Brittany Kinser; uncles, Shane Dansby and Ulysius Dansby; great-aunts, great-uncles, and many cousins; his beloved dog, Daisy; and many, many friends.
