"Janie" Carole Jane Pike

Carole Jane “Janie” Pike, age 79, of Newark, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Janie was born June 2, 1944 in Newark, Ohio to the late Albert Gene Beal and the late Marjorie Ruth (Norman) Beal Schacht.

Janie was a 1962 graduate of Sheridan High School where she enjoyed cheerleading for all four years. She was a member of the Thornville United Methodist Church. Janie loved to travel with her husband and they traveled and cruised all over the world. They especially loved to cruise the Amazon River and in the South Pacific. She loved her Golden Retriever, Angel.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 59 years, Gary L. Pike, whom she married November 14, 1964; sons, Bradley M. Pike of Glenford and Bryan W. Pike of Hebron; grandchildren, Bryant Jeremy “BJ” Pike and Taysha Pike; sisters, Donna Dibari of Worthington and Connie Allen of Zanesville; a niece and several nephews.

A private inurnment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
